Signalment:  5 y.o. terrier mix fs dog

History: vomting for 3 weeks. Bloodwork all normal.

Images of pylorus/proximal duodenum fanning on- and off the lesion

Questions:
i. Differentials for lesion?
ii. Other imaging tests indicated?





















Answer:

Pyloric inflammatory polyp: large numbers of spirochetes on histology
DDX: other gastric/duodenal inflammatory or neoplastic masses or atypical foreign body lesions
Testing: endoscopy or surgical biopsy or excision, US of sternal and cranial abdominal LN’s, other lesions in liver, etc?
