Signalment:
6 year old male neutered Yorkie

Presented for 3 days duration of cough

Questions:

What are your ultrasonographic findings?
What are your differentials?

Ultrasound Findings:

Anechoic effusion is present cranial to the diaphragm free in the pleural space.
Anechoic effusion is present between the liver lobes.

Ultrasonographic Diagnosis:

Bicavitary effusion.
Differentials include cardiac disease, neoplasia, hypoproteinemia, bleeding disorder.
The dog was diagnosed with biventricular heart failure following ultrasound.
