Signalment:
6 year old female spayed DSH

Intermittent vomiting

Abdominal radiographs revealed a soft tissue mass caudal to the stomach, and a 1 cm round mineralized structure in the midabdomen.

Abdominal Ultrasound:

What are your findings?
What is your diagnosis?

Abdominal Ultrasound:

A curvilinear hyperechoic structure measuring 1 cm with distal shadowing was identified in the midabdomen.
A large cystic structure with anechoic fluid is present caudal to the stomach in the region of the pancreas.

Ultrasonographic Diagnosis:

Pancreatic pseudocyst.
Incidental mineralized lipoma (Bates body)

The cyst was drained, which alleviated the patients vomiting. The signs of vomiting were related to the pressure the cyst was placing on the stomach
