Signalment:
5 year old spayed female Terrier Mix

Vomting for 3 weeks. Bloodwork all normal.

Ultrasound Image:
Images of pylorus/proximal duodenum fanning on- and off the lesion

Questions:

  1. Differentials for the lesion?
  2. Other imaging tests indicated?
 

Ultrasonographic Diagnosis:

  1. Pyloric inflammatory polyp: large numbers of spirochetes on histology
  2. DDX: other gastric/duodenal inflammatory or neoplastic masses or atypical foreign body lesions
  3. Testing: endoscopy or surgical biopsy or excision, US of sternal and cranial abdominal LN's, other lesions in liver, etc?
