Signalment:
12 year old, spayed female Dalmatian

History: Decreased appetite, weak hind limbs, distended abdomen, weight gain, PU/PD

Questions:

  1. What are your ultrasonographic findings?
  2. What is your ultrasonographic diagnosis?

Image 1: Long axis of distal aorta

Image 3: Left adrenal gland

Image 4: Right adrenal gland

Ultrasonographic Diagnosis:

  1. Bilateral adrenomegaly, thrombus identified in the distal aorta with extension into external iliac artery, partially occulding the lumen.
  2. Most Likely pituitary dependent hyperadrenocorticism
