Bath, Maine 2008

IVUSS is pleased to announce that the 2008 International Veterinary Ultrasound Society meeting will be held at "The Inn at Bath", Bath, Maine, from July 29th through August 1st, 2008. This meeting is being sponsored by Ultrasource. We are honored to have as our speakers:

Dr. Jay Stefanacci, ACVR
Previously a resident at North Carolina State University and Staff Radiologist at the Animal Medical Center in New York City. Jay is now in private practice enjoying the good life in Long Island!

Dr. Josh Gidlewski, ACVIM (Cardiology)
Josh is a University of Georgia graduate, completed his residency in cardiology at the Animal Medical Center and is currently in the New England Veterinary Specialists.

Dr. Jodi Matheson (Instructor in Radiology)
Jodi completed her radiology residency at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She is a black belt in Tae Kwon Do and enjoys the out of doors. She balances time between her border collie and her appointment as clinical instructor at UW. Jodi will be an instructor for wet labs and the certificate examination.

Dr. Michael Roy, ACVR
Mike completed his residency at Colorado State University and is now in private practice in Tuscon, Arizona. Mike is looking forward to helping in the wet labs and seeing all of you in Maine!

We request that all registrants prepare a 5-10 minute interesting case presentation.

For those taking their certification examination, the test will be scheduled individually for approved candidates.

All registrants qualify for one free 30 minute individual ultrasound training session, please contact us individually to reserve times and instructor.

The midcoast of Maine is full of family and outdoor activities. Enjoy visits to beaches at Popham and Reid State Parks (and a visit to Dr. O'Brien's secret sea-ride, for those willing to dare barnacles, strong currents and amazingly cold water!) Fly fishing, sailing, hiking, lakes and ocean bound!

For those interested, we have a group reserving boats for kayaking on July 30 after the scientific session.

On rainy days there is always relaxing, walking in small towns up and down Route 1 and shopping in Freeport. We will have a Lobster banquet after the afternoon scientific sessions on July 31; lobster, fresh local grown fruits and vegetables, clams and mussels and blueberry pie; life does not get any better then summer in Maine! http://www.innatbath.com/links.html

Registration : $500.00 (includes opening reception, one 30 minute individual training session, all scientific talks and Lobster Banquet). LIMTED TO 10 REGISTRANTS. Housing is should be separately arranged with Elizabeth at "The Inn at Bath" on a first come first serve basis. Reservations will be closed when the Inn is full!
