Registration is limited to 90, and will open in March for members. 

Conference registration includes:
  • 17 hours of lectures:  five cardiac sessions and 12 non-cardiac sessions (including sessions on ophthalmic ultrasound, anesthesia and sedation, ultrasound guided nerve blocks, and machine settings)
  • Sunday night Welcome Reception
  • Monday and Wednesday lunch
  • Coffee all day, snacks.
Optional Add-ons:
  • Sunday morning lab
  • Post-Conference Bash On Wednesday night, titled "Bits, Bites, and a Band" (walking dinner, drinks, and featuring Endless Wire, whose lead singer is Dr. Hanneke van Meeuwen, a veterinary sonographer!)
  • Canal Boat tour Tuesday afternoon with wine, beer, and snacks
 
Special conference rates are available at the Hotel Mitland Utrecht.
This hotel is the closest to the Anatomiegebouw and is a 15 minute walk (1 km).

 

 FEATURED SPEAKERS:

Laurent Locquet, DVM, Dipl. ECVIM-CA (Cardiology), MBA

Dr. Locquet graduated from Ghent University, Belgium, in 2015. He worked in small animal general practice in South Africa and Belgium before completing a rotating internship at a busy referral centre in the UK. During his internship, Dr. Locquet obtained a certificate in Veterinary Cardiology and subsequently completed a Residency in Veterinary Cardiology at Ghent University. He then spent one year at a busy referral practice in the Greater London Area before joining DWR Veterinary Specialists in Six Mile Bottom, Cambridgeshire, in 2022.

In 2024, he founded the Veterinary Cardio Club, an online community for cardiology enthusiasts that has grown to over 400 members across more than 80 countries. In 2025, he completed an MBA and co-founded Skillvet, a lecturing company delivering in-person mentorship programs, workshops, and webinars across four continents.

Kerstin von PücklerDVM, Dipl. ECVDI

Prof. Dr. Kerstin von Pückler studied veterinary medicine in Gießen, Germany, and Bern, Switzerland, from 2001 to 2007. She completed her PhD in 2009 with a focus on MRI of the lumbosacral intervertebral disc, followed by an ECVDI residency from 2009 to 2013 in Gießen, with additional training periods in Bern, Ghent, and Zurich. Since 2013, she has been Head of Diagnostic Imaging at the Small Animal Clinic of Justus Liebig University Gießen. In 2023, she also took on the role of Head of the Diagnostic Imaging Specialist Group of the German Veterinary Society (DVG). She earned her habilitation and venia legendi in 2024 in clinical and experimental diagnostic imaging in veterinary medicine, and during 2024/25 she served as a lecturer at Freie Universität Berlin. Since 2025, she has been Head of Diagnostic Imaging at the University of Veterinary Medicine Hannover.

Her scientific interests include diagnostic imaging of the musculoskeletal system, eye tracking, artificial intelligence, functional MRI in dogs, and imaging approaches to regeneration and degeneration.

Susanne Boroffka, DVM, Dipl. ECVDI

Dr. Boroffka studied at the Free University of Berlin, where she discovered her passion for diagnostic imaging under Prof. Hartung. She completed her residency and later worked for many years at the University of Utrecht, earning her PhD on canine eye and orbit imaging in 2007. In 2008–2009, she worked as an associate professor at UC Davis, USA, and has contributed extensively to scientific journals and textbooks. 

In 2016, she founded Boroffka Diagnostic Imaging, and currently works as a radiologist in a Specialty Clinic in Utrecht and as a teleradiology consultant. She enjoys clinical radiology as well as clinical research and teaching.

Following her passion for imaging, she served as President of the European College of Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging from 2022 to 2024.

In her free time she loves hiking, traveling, doing fun things with her family, and walking and cycling with her crazy Border Collie mix ‘Bacio’.

Thomas K. Day, DVM, MS, DACVAA (Emeritus), DACVECC (Emeritus), CVA, Cert. IVUSS

Dr. Day has been performing abdominal ultrasounds and echocardiograms in dogs and cats for over 25 years and is certified in abdominal ultrasound and echocardiography by the International Veterinary Ultrasound Society (IVUSS). Dr. Day has also practiced the specialties of veterinary anesthesiology and veterinary emergency and critical care for over 30 years, providing anesthesia, emergency and critical care services and teaching at all levels of veterinary practice including students, technical staff, interns, residents and general practitioners. Dr. Day has authored and co-authored over 25 scientific publications, written a myriad of book chapters, and has authored two books of which were translated to several languages. Dr. Day has lectured worldwide on the topics of anesthesia and emergency and critical care.

Raphael Repellin, DVM

Originally from France, Dr. Rapellin moved to California at age 11. He earned his Bachelor of Science from UC Davis in 2009 and graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2014. He completed a rotating internship in California, surgery internships in Cincinnati and at Michigan State University, and completed a surgery residency at Michigan State in 2021.

Dr. Rapellin lives in Maryland with his wife and three children and works as a staff surgeon at BluePearl.

Outside of his professional career, Dr. Rapellin grew up skiing in the Alps and played competitive rugby and soccer. He and his family enjoy walking, hiking, tennis, golf, and pickleball. They share their home with two dogs, Ciroc and Olive, and one cat, Fireball. 

Ibrahima Barry, MS

Ibrahima Barry holds a master’s degree in physics and medical imaging from the University of François Rabelais in Tours, France (2013). He has over ten years of experience in ultrasound and imaging technologies across human and veterinary medicine.

He began his career as a Clinical Application Engineer specializing in cardiac and vascular ultrasound and went on to hold roles in France including Clinical Application Engineer, Area Manager, and Product Manager for ultrasound and X-ray solutions. Since 2022, he has been with a major ultrasound company, first as a European Clinical Application Specialist for Veterinary Ultrasound, and since 2025 as European Clinical Application Specialist Team Manager. In this role, he supports clinical excellence, product adoption, and leads a team advancing veterinary imaging across Europe.

He is passionate about medical imaging, clinical education, and enabling improved diagnostic outcomes through high-quality ultrasound solutions, and looks forward to contributing his expertise and collaborating with IVUSS.

  • Cancellation within 5 days of registration will receive a 97% refund (our credit card processor charges us 3%). 
  • Cancellations on or before July 15, 2026 will receive an 80% refund.
  • Cancellations on or before August 15, 2026 will receive a 50% refund.  
  • Cancellations August 16, 2025 and later will receive a 20% refund.
  • Registration fees will be 100% refunded in the unlikely event of meeting cancellation.
