Dr. Marc Seitz, ABVP (Canine and Feline), ACVR
Dr. Seitz is an Associate Clinical Professor of Diagnostic Imaging at Mississippi State University (MSU).  He earned both his B.S. in biochemistry and his DVM from MSU.  After graduation, he spent eight years in private practice as both a general practitioner and emergency clinician prior to returning to MSU as an emergency faculty member.  While in private practice, he earned Diplomate status with the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners (Canine and Feline).  Due to his interest in performing and teaching ultrasound, he completed a residency in diagnostic imaging and is now a full-time board-certified radiologist.  In addition to clinical practice, he thoroughly enjoys teaching, with the ultimate goal of translating sound medical practices and current veterinary literature into useful clinical skills for both general practitioners and emergency clinicians.  His passion for teaching has been recognized through the Zoetis Distinguished Veterinary Teaching Award (2016) and the MSU-CVM Dean’s Pegasus Award for Teaching (2022).

June Boon, M.S.
June has been involved in echocardiography for 4 decades at Colorado State University Veterinary Teaching Hospital.  She developed normal reference ranges for the dog, the cat, and llamas. She has helped hundreds of veterinarians learn the skill of echocardiography and its interpretation. Her book Veterinary Echocardiography is an acclaimed resource used by both generalists and specialists. A third edition is in the works.  Echocardiography remains a passion of hers and she loves to teach others about this diagnostic modality. She was recently awarded honorary diplomate recognition in the ACVIM cardiology specialty, the only non DVM to ever receive this honor.

Dr. Sonya Gordon, DACVIM (Cardiology)
Dr. Sonya Gordon is an ACVIM Diplomate in Cardiology, Professor of cardiology and Eugene Ch’en Chair in Cardiology at Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical ScienceShe has published manuscripts, book chapters and a textbook. Her interests and expertise in teaching have led to many invitations to organize and participate in continuing education events for veterinarians and veterinary cardiologists globally. These opportunities, coupled with her involvement in multicenter international studies, have provided her with a global perspective of veterinary cardiology.  Dr. Gordon considers College Station, Texas home and shares her life with her husband, 2 dogs and 2 cats.

Schedule: Half of the sessions are cardiac and the other half are non-cardiac.

Cancellation Policy:
  • All cancellations must be submitted by email to IVUSS at [email protected]
  • Cancellation within 5 days of registration will receive 97% refund (our credit card company now charges us for refunds).
  • Cancellations received on or before June 1, 2024 will receive an 80% refund.  
  • Cancellation on or before July 20, 2024 will receive a 50% refund. 
  • Cancellation after July 20, 2024 will receive a 20% refund.
  • Registration fees will be 100% refunded in the event you have a commercially confirmed positive covid test within 7 days of the conference.
  • Registration fees will be 100% refunded in the unlikely event of meeting cancellation.
